I beg to differ....car parts can be useful!
For instance, I have a piston holding down some to-be-filed bills on my desk at home keeping the overactive ceiling fan from making a mess of them. And I use an old B20 intake manifold as a very handy doorstop when I'm carrying things into the house that require both hands. Unfortunately, non-car geek friends usually end up stubbing their toes on 'that old chunk of scrap' in the foyer, and I may be forced to move it to a permanent home in the garage once I get married.
Most of the time you're right though. Car parts are just parts...useless without a car.
